Hi Tomek,

The C-64 had a 6510 processor, but sure enough 8D is the code for STA! Likewise on the Apple II+, the machine language uses 8D as STA. However, I had the hi byte and lo byte reversed. For 7A4B as an address, the machine code would have read:

8D 4B 7A

Now it will store it in $7A4B — that $ does not mean it's a PHP variable—it's a hex value!

Kindest regards,
Bill

Have you been coding for C64/6502? STA $7A4B sounded familiar ;-)
